Once you step inside, the Maiolo Copeland salon evokes an ambiance of pure elegance enhanced by the 12-foot ceilings, grand mirrors and polished floorboards that are complimented with a selection of antique and modern furniture pieces that transport you back to nineteenth-century splendour.
A central lighting feature created by Sydney-based UK light and furniture designer David Page for each room - from his design agency Kode Creative - further enhances this atmosphere.
The salon expands across three rooms allowing cut, colour and make-up services to be fluidly separate, with specialist lighting designed for the specific service and synchronised to the ambiance of each room.
A unique feature to the salon is the outdoor courtyard reminiscent of a tropical oasis: "It's a very peaceful and secluded spot where our clients can sit and take-in some fresh air while they sip on refreshments and wait for their colour to process."
